I went to this, for kicks and giggles. Whether or not it is worth it depends upon a couple of things:
1. Do you have $5000? If yes, proceed. If no, skip.
2. Do the listed topics cover areas which you need help in? If yes, proceed. If no, skip.
3. Independent of your skill level, are you well connected OFF-LINE with other top SEOs? If yes, skip.

As far as the conferences go, I've been a recluse, so I decided to go mainly to allow a few people to put a face to my online persona; it was worth it to me from that very simple point of view.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

I think elite retreat is dying fast

i was always under the impression that to die it had to take off in the first place, I don't think it ever got into second gear before in grinded to a halt

seeing as he is suppose to be the king of link pimping SEO PPC and all the rest of what makes it to the top this has died a death, but that said he stole the idea from another well know SEO prefessional in the first place and just happen to launch elite retreat before the other guy got round to doing something about it

best thing is I have a copy of the photo where one of the other elite retreat speakers is shown to be taking a shot from a transvestites groin but in fact looks like he is sucking the tranvestite off, it was removed from the site soon after it was published, that will not look good in a few years time when its still being found in google.....evil grin ... Grin

hey ho such is life
