Hello Friends,
I am a collegiate and need some extra money for my expenses. I have heard many names of various sites and links but I don’t know whether they really click. I need help so that I can decide some good ways to get going in the internet biz. Please give me ideas on making money from surveys or from affiliate marketing.
Thanks in advance!

Do you already know anything about getting customers?

In order to make money online you have to get interested customers
to come to your "store".  (Same as offline).

Have you had any experience in this?

Well there are many ways to make money online. I too have done this but you must be careful in taking the steps. I advise you to make money online from what I have done. There are many good ideas and different ways to earn money. You can also find affiliate marketing and people discussing their own creative ideas to make it big in the online world from the place I began. Hope that you would find it useful.

I could write volumes on this topic but have been advised that I am better off keeping my posts simple because I sound like an ad machine otherwise so here is my 2c worth, I will try to keep it short but no guarantees as I have not had much practice at it yet.

I remember what it was like as a newbie marketer all too vividly.

I was very excited about joining my first affiliate program. Wow this was cool I could retire in just 6 months and work from home, choose my own hours, set my own income and best of all give the boss the flick. Right?HuhHuh

So wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

I makes no difference what you do online:

If you have the right drive and ambition you will make a go of anything, eventually.
If you put enough hours into it you can also make it work, eventually.
If you invest enough a return will come one day.

The only short cut I have found is to link in with a real team player and mentor, someone who truly will take the time to chat and help you through the initial steps. It was what was lacking in the first program I joined and what I vowed never to do to my own team mates.

Getting sucked in by an industry heavy hitter, left to flounder without any support whatsoever when you do not have a clue absolutely SUCKS!!!!!

I tried building a rapport with the person I considered as my sponsor for my second project and continued the search until I found someone who actually listened and was interested in me as a person not as a statistic in their climb to the top. It worked I learnt the basics built a team, a lot of friendships and therefore a steady income.

Often people include their REAL email addresses on correspondence to you. If you see something you like contact them see if they respond. Set up an IM chat to test the waters, if they ram the program down your throat and are not happy to chat about other topics and make friends my suggestion is RUN>>>>> DO NOT WALK, get away from the person as fast as you can, add them to your blocked list and search for another.

Make contact with someone who genuinely is interested in team work and team building. Yes there are some out there. They may be hard to find but they do exist.

I have been marketing online for 3 years now. The first 6 months was very bumpy but I do now get a regular monthly income which grows all the time and that has been acheived solely by helping others and setting up a real TEAM environment. My team mates value me they know they have open access. I am willing to help because I am a people person. They also step up to help others because they have seen that showing a real interest in others works. People walk away from programs everyday but they are less inclined to walk away from friends.

I have made some wonderful friends online in a lot of cases these people I have never seen face to face are far nicer and closer to me than my day to day exposure friends.

Yes the added income is great but money comes and goes just as opportunities come and go friendship is what it is really about. A group of motivated friends can acheive any goal and faster than you would ever imagine.

People ARE far more important than profit anyday. I know I can get by without a dollar in my pocket but without the support of my team mates I would be totally at sea.

So in short the only thing guaranteed to work is TEAMWORK. There is no single program guaranteed to make you rich fast and the internet is not some get rich quick goldmine. Yes you can make money online and good money at that but it takes, time, work, dedication and skill and most of all like the old beatles song say "....I get by with a little help from my friends".

Good advice and well said, cherard.

Now, expand each paragraph of that post by about 10 pages and market it as 'an intro to online marketing' e-book.

When you make it to a million, send me a postcard.   77

Ok now I really am confused.

It was your advice on keeping it simple that I was following.

Now it's expand and make a fortune!

I found that post very hard to write as I have a tendency to tell it like I see it and can be rather verbose and over enthusiastic.

I HATE sales, really can't stand it but I am very good at recommending things I believe in.
Guess in the end it all amounts to the same thing. Maybe the trick to selling is just to recommend something you believe in and if you are honest about it the message gets through.

Maybe we should JV on the ebook idea LOL 24

Sorry.  Didn't mean to confuse you.

Write the e-book for sale at, say, Clickbank.  Not here.

You made a fine post and it is appreciated.

Hey, why not you create your own video sharing website. It is very good idea to earn money. I also made a site couple of months ago with help of  . It has flagship product called VidsharePro. It is a video sharing script that not only allows anyone to start a video sharing website, but also allows anyone to sell digital as well as physical products on their video sharing website. Hope this will work out for you too.

All the best! [waver]

Just follow cherard's advice and you can make it on the internet. My personal observation on the internet is that it is one huge market without borders or regulators. Almost every person online is out to take what you have without giving commensurate value back to you.
As we say "shine your eyes" and you will succeed online.

You are right.  videos are hot.  I just wrote on port80.syndk8.com about a guy
named jared kim that started a video sharing site for gamers just a month ago
and already he has raised $3million in financing.  Jared is 19yo.  Gees.
