All

I would be very interested in people's thoughts on what the best and worst gaming affiliate programmes are across to board.

Whether it is because they don't pay out, or their tracking is useless or whatever I am really interested.

bingo is the big growth game online

challenge is most operators only offer cpa deals and not rev share - although as bingo is a low ticket item I guess that may not be too bad

nice list of keywords by the way!!!

cheers man

I actually find them OK - never had any problems whatsoever
5  Affiliate Talk / Gambling / Re: Gambling Dead on: February 05, 2007, 07:16:55 AM

i thought part of the issue to control this was that credit card companies
couldn't process payment for fear of being fined or something

meaning that most poker sites now had issues to process payment/payouts

This applies to US banks only - not european - in addition I think mastercard have stopped accepting transactions on the MCC (merchant category code) relating to casino and gaming - they will not process the transactions - but again US only and finally Citibank do not / did not allow gambling transactions.

This quite clearly affects players based in the US but not in the rest of the world providing they are not routing their credit card transactions through a US bank / Credit card company.

This would also affect transactions to the likes of neteller etc as they fall under the same MCC as casinos.

However in the UK most banks now treat transactions for gaming as an Over The Counter transaction and thereofre they attract an immediate and higher interest rate  - with a handling fee as well.

Not withstanding this I still think the gaming companies will survive - maybe there will be a lot of consolidation but ultimately it will go on.

There are still some US networks touting for business - who have quite clearly found a way round the regulations.

I use them and have found them to be good and a good program to promote - not sure about adwords TOS - judging by the fact that some of the other PE affiliate programs have info on building ppc campaigns then I would say you would be Ok - plus there is a fair few being promoted on google when you look at sponsored links

This is an awesome thread - the only bit that I can add (of any value!) is that I would recommend Perry Marshalls adwords book

A weighty read but extremely useful
