Any of the server-side languages would work, some easier than others, but AJAX might be an answer.

And don't forget tinyurl.

I just use PHP and 301 redirect them. Not sure if that's a good way or not, but that's what I've been doing.

I try to stay away from tinyurl services because I remember reading about one of those services who flipped a switch one day and all the links went to some adult site.

Another simple way is to make a directory with a name of your choice and then put a index.php file in there that is made up of the following:

<?php
$url="your aff url";
header('Location: '.$url);
?>

then just put your link as  yourdomain/foldername and when the viewer lands there it redirects to the aff page etc..
