So what are you thinking of trying this holiday season?

I did very well for Halloween but that was with AdSense mostly, not affiliate
I can see the potential tho

Gifts, toys, electronics (ipods, gameboy, cell phones, etc.) jewelry, food, drink, party accessories.  The list goes on.

reckon affiliate sales in this area requires a fair bit of forward planning. i.e. keeping an eye on the trends in things like the toy world etc and then starting to get sites built early for the new trends.

dare say nintendo wii could be a fairly successful venture this xmas - as would the PS3 for the US market

Mothers day, Fathers day.

All of the holidays.  Easter is good for flowers and cards.

June is big for weddings in the US.  All kinds of stuff for brides and grooms.  Jewelry is good for me in June.

Kopking is right about planning ahead.  I generally start thinking of new Christmas stuff in August.  Try to get it all ready to go by October first. 

My big push on the holidays starts around the First of November and lasts thru the second week of December.  Sales slack off on domestic items then.  It helps that diet products start to pick up after the first of January.

Then it's time to review the spring and early summer offerings.  Summer is the slowest time for me.  That's when I can do some analysis, test new ideas, and so forth.
